Diagnose and repair a Premiere Pro project
Detects duplicate clip IDs, orphan references, offline media, missing plugins and mixed video formats that crash Premiere Pro 2025+ — especially when moving media. Everything stays local in your browser. Enabled by default: the error-level detectors, orphan references, remembered marker deletions and object masks — open « Enabled detectors » to add the other warnings and infos.
Enabled detectors
Pick which checks to run. Turning off the heavy passes (references, plugins) speeds up analysis on very large projects.

Limits & precautions
• Always work on a copy — the tool never overwrites your original, but Premiere can still reject a partially repaired file. • Maximum size: 400 MB compressed (~800 MB decompressed XML). Above that, the file is cleanly refused (no DOM is built). • Large projects are analysed directly in the tab: browsers provide no background XML parser. The tab may freeze for a few seconds; every feature remains available. • No file leaves your browser.
Large-project tip (> 200 MB): close other memory-hungry tabs, keep the downloaded backup handy, and prefer recent Chrome or Edge (≥ 4 GB free RAM recommended).
Prproj Doctor is not affiliated with Adobe. Always keep a backup. The repaired file is suffixed .repaired.prproj.
